How does Concierge Importing Work?
Buyers will fill out the form below detailing what they are looking for in their next horse. We will then take the criteria and try to find potential matches, we try our best to make it happen within 30 days, but it does depend on the time of year.
All horses come with x-rays and sometimes an x-ray report prior to import.
We import anywhere from 1-4 horses at a time. When we get a horse who best matches the buyers needs, the buyer will get a preview of the horse. The buyer then has three options:
Purchase the horse off video from Europe: this option is great if you know what you want and can ride a variety of different horses. You will get the x-rays to review with your vet and videos of the horse. Price includes the cost of the horse, importing and quarantining at JFK. Not included in the price is trailering from JFK to your barn - this is left responsible to the buyer. Passports are shipped to the buyer usually one week after the horse leaves JFK.
Try the horse when it arrives in the USA: If an incoming import looks like a good match, then you have the option to come and try the horse before it hits the market, usually within the first 14-30 days of it arriving to Diamond Ridge Stables. Horses will always be available to purchase first directly off video.
Passing on the horse before it gets imported: Don’t love any of the horses coming in? No worries, you can simply pass and wait for the next round. No fee - the horse will still be imported and added to our sale string.
This is simply a way to beat the crowd once horses are listed on the market.
